前言Introduction:
This
Chinese New Year, we are all here in a foreign country. Different
from us, the Israelites 2500 years ago were captured to a foreign
country, Babylon. When the Persian king allowed them to return to
their promised land, those who did return were a minority. “Remnants”
is an important biblical concept. Today, let us see who returned
first.

about the origin of the three words “Hebrew”, “Israel”, and
“Jew”. What lesson could today’s Christians learn?

2.
Why
are the Nethinims are recorded here, but not the people from Reuben
and some other tribes?

經文
Scripture:

代上1
Chron. 5
1-2;
1930

前言Introduction:
Each
of us has many areas that from birth are not as good as other people,
like appearance, height, health, family background, ability, etc.
When we think about those, we often feel it’s unfair. In the Bible,
someone being the firstborn of a family means to have many special
privileges and blessings that other brothers don’t have. However,
God is always fair. In fact, when we study the Scripture closely,
we’ll find often times the ones inheriting those special blessings
of the firstborn, are not the firstborn.

I.
Worldly
View: How to Face the Reality of “Unfairness”.

II.
Biblical
View: How to Face the Reality of “Unfairness”.

1.
For “Firstborn” — Who Are First

2.
For “Lastborn” — Who Are Last

III.
The
Real Firstborn: The Most Unfair Reality.

Conclusion
and Response:

1.
Do
you have grudge for any area that being inferior to others? Ask the
Lord to release you from that attitude.

2.
Why
often times it was not the firstborn to inherit blessings of the
firstborn? What does it remind us?

3.
~
Meditate on and Memorize Matt. 19:30 “
But
many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be

經文
Scripture:

代上1
Chron. 4
9-10;
2639

前言Introduction:
The
book “The Prayer of Jabez” was published in 2000. For the first
two years, 9 million copies were printed, and a total of 17 million
copies have been printed by now. This little Christian book of less
than 100 pages topped the secular New York Times Bestseller list for
several months, and had great influence at that time, while caused
some criticism, too. Nearly 10 years has passed, so has the
excitement. It’s time for us to think again about this prayer
recorded in 1 Chronicles of the Bible.

I.
Prayer
of a Suffering Person.

II.
Prayer for Himself.

II.
Prayer
that Received Mercy.

IV.
.
Prayer of a Victorious Person.

V.
Prayer of God First.

VI.
Prayer to be Followed.

Conclusion
and Response:

1.
Why
such a common prayer of Jabez would be so popular?

2.
Study
Prayers of Jesus in the Bible.

3.
~
Meditate on and Memorize Matt 26:39 “
My
Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as
I will, but as you will”
